Well it's taken a lot of work...

...but I'm finally almost ready to start painting some walls. Ah filling and sanding, takes me back to school. I forget, how long will it take for my fingerprints to grow back?

Another little project that needs to be taken care of is replacing the garage door opener. I was asked if that was really a big priority, and indeed it is, I haven't opened my own garage door since the Ice Storm of '98, and it is a pain when there is an opener there that's useful only as something to wedge part of the door into to hold it open. It's probably possible to fix the one that's there, but last weekend Home Depot had them on sale for what that could easily cost.

When I went to Home Depot I didn't see the display for the model on a 2-days-only special in the flyer and went to where such things usually are and only saw the "basic" model, which had it's price lowered to the same as the "mid range" model(I dunno, it's more aerodynamic?)in the flyer. I decided there must have been a mistake and this was the special and picked one up. After an hour staring at paint chips I was waiting to check out with my opener and 200 pounds of paint and I saw the guy in front of me had two of the openers from the advertisement. There was this awkward moment where I looked at his openers, then at mine, and back to his, back to mine, and he did the same thing, until he finally said "These are the same price as those" and pointed me towards them.
